Swan Lake

May 10, 2019 – 10:00am
The Vets

Perhaps the best-loved and most famous ballet the world has ever known, Swan Lake is a masterpiece of dance and music, rich with drama and glowing with grace. The ballet weaves together a story of young love and wicked deception against a backdrop of Tchaikovsky’s lush, passionate score.

Students have the opportunity to discover the beauty and passion of dance through Festival Ballet Providence’s Discover Dance programs. This series enables school groups to experience ballet in a majestic theater in Providence.

NOTE: Discover Dance performances are open to schools and equivalent educational groups of 10 or more.

Our dazzling production of The Nutcracker has been, for many Rhode Islanders, their first exposure to a live ballet performance, creating a most memorable experience. Other featured productions include The Firebird, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo & Juliet, Esmeralda and A Thousand and One Nights. These productions are designed to cultivate an appreciation for and an understanding of dance to last a lifetime.
