David DuBois began his dance training at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg Florida. Mr. DuBois then attended the Boston Conservatory, studying under Luis Fuentes and Laszlo Berdo. Mr. DuBois began his professional career in 2003 with Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theater. There, he performed as Cavalier in The Nutcracker and many other principal roles. Mr. DuBois joined Island Moving Company in 2007, working with choreographers such as Colin Conner, Scott Putman, Colleen Cavanaugh, Kelly Ann Sloan, and Monica Bill Barnes, also originating the title role in Miki Ohlsen’s critically-acclaimed Dracula. Mr. DuBois has been a principal guest artist with many dance organizations throughout New England. In 2010 and 2011, Mr. DuBois competed in the Sibiu Romania IBC with his wife Kristy Anne DuBois. Mr. DuBois joined American Repertory Ballet for its 2011-2012 season. There, David most notably performed the role of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. David re-joined Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theatre in 2012, dancing many principal roles there with his wife. David has been with Festival Ballet Providence since 2015 and has danced in a vast range of classical and contemporary works including Von Rothbart in Mihailo Djuric’s Swan Lake and Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante. This is David’s third season with Festival Ballet Providence.
